With modern technology easily accessible to everybody, almost anything can be done through the Internet. From shopping, paying bills, to making reservations – most transactions can be done without ever leaving the privacy of the home. Even the field of medicine has caught on the fad – consultations can be made online, even purchasing medications can be made on the web. With the help of a computer, a stable internet connection, and a credit card, making and paying for prescription purchases have never been so easy. Of course we can’t ignore the fact that buying medications from web-based pharmacies can be most convenient, especially for people who have very busy schedules and those who are physically incapable of leaving the house to buy their medications. Also, the fact the most online prescriptions no longer require a prescription note from a physician gives its customers a lot of savings from not having to go to the doctor, not discounting the fact that the prices of the prescription drugs itself are already marked down. But even with these enticing benefits offered by online drugstores, a lot of people ask if buying medications from Internet pharmacies is safe, or if it is okay to purchase medications without a prescription from these web-based drugstores. The key to answering these questions is to know which web-based pharmacies are legal and which ones are not. Here are some reminders to help you determine one from the other: Trust only licensed and accredited Internet drugstores. Legitimate land-based and web-based pharmacies all went through a rigorous inspection from the local pharmacy board before they are allowed to operate in or dispense medications to the state. You can visit your local pharmacy board’s official website or contact them to see a list of licensed pharmacies. You may also want to take a look at the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) website to see a list of online drugstores who have passed the standards set by the NABP and the different state pharmacy boards, and are a part of the Virtual Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites (VIPPS). Look for web-based drugstores that require a prescription. By law, no pharmacy should dispense prescription drugs without a valid prescription note. It is best to buy prescriptions only from online pharmacies that ask for a copy of your doctor’s prescription note before furnishing your order. In cases of web pharmacies that do not ask for a prescription, check if they have the option to make online consultations with their staff doctors. This assures you that you’re not going to be sold the wrong medications, or worse, counterfeit or expired prescription drugs. Make sure your privacy is well-protected. Look for Internet-based pharmacies that have an easy to understand privacy policy. Make sure you thoroughly read to ensure that the company has a plausible measure to use in safeguarding the information you entrust to them. It’s safe to say that it’s still okay to purchase medications from online drugstores, you just simply have to know which websites to buy from. Hopefully the above mentioned tips will be useful for people who are planning to buy medicines on the net.

Copyright 2006 Stacey Zimmerman When you look at how much the average person spends in making sure they and all their possessions are clean, it’s astronomical. From expensive shampoos and conditioners to the newest brand of vacuum cleaners, individuals spend thousands each year in making sure they’re living conditions and themselves are as sanitary as possible. The first thing we are taught is cleanliness is next to Godliness. However, what about our internal environment. To benefit their health, more individuals should spend time with an internal body cleansing. In today’s world, we live in an environment where there are toxins everywhere. They are in the air we breath into our lungs, as well as the food we eat and the water we drink. These toxins, simply put, can put unnecessary stress upon our body. Performing an internal body cleansing will help to get rid of the toxins that have built up in the body and allow it to function better and maintain its health. When the body is functioning properly, it has no problem eliminating toxins. However, when the body becomes overloaded, the various systems may show signs of stress. For example, if you are in need of an internal body cleansing, you may notice certain signs, such as headaches, excessive gas, fatigue, and acne. These are signs that your body has built up toxins and they need to be removed before becoming more serious. If you are contemplating starting an internal cleansing program, the first place you should start with is a colon cleansing. If you have toxins built up in the colon, poisons from the colon can cause more severe problems, such as stress on the heart, digestive problems that can even cause you to experience extremely foul breath, and if not treated, can even cause weakness in the muscles or extreme fatigue. Performing an internal body cleansing, however, can help you to prevent this from happening. Many individuals, when performing an internal body cleansing on the colon, are startled to discover what comes out of them. Anybody who has gone through an internal body cleansing is likely to tell you it is no wonder their body was not functioning to capacity with all the built up matter that was in their system. When you complete your internal body cleansing on your colon, you’ll notice many things and many will experience weight loss and a feeling of renewed strength and vitality. Internal body cleansing will help you to be healthier and feel like a new person. It will not only strengthen your immune system, but will improve your digestive system, and help to restore your body’s capacity to heal itself. Most of us spend our days cleaning one thing or another and spend time washing our hands so not to spread germs. After all, we don’t want to ingest anything that has attached to our hands! Why not take your cleaning schedule a little further and start your internal body cleansing. Most people who go through an internal body cleansing find themselves continuing with the process and performing one every year. You owe it to yourself to learn more about this exciting and new common sense approach to healthy weight loss. If you are tired of all the bologna flying around these days on weight loss and diets and have tried many things without much or any success, I invite you to visit my website for more information on this awesome concept that is literally transforming thousands of lives. I wish you all the best of success and health in your life. Sincerely, Stace Zimmerman

Acne is the most prevalent skin disorder that usually afflicts first the adolescent population. With 70% of the adolescents affected with this skin disease, it is considered one of the most menacing disease especially during this transitional period of an adolescent’s life since, though it may not be that fatal, it could cause some serious emotional trouble to a person ridiculed because of his or her not so clear complexion. The medical community to help resolve this skin dilemma presents various acne medications and therapeutic methods. Formulation of various medications and solutions are being studied cautiously to finally come up with the most effective acne treatment. But the question is, which among these medications is or are really effective acne treatments? Here’s a rundown of the various acne treatments that claim to be successful in dealing with the troubles of acne according to the type or severity of acne: Mild or juvenile acne. This type of acne, also known as teenage spots, may be treated with over-the-counter (OTC) topical medicines available in drugstores. They are considered to be easiest to treat. Some prescription topical medicines are also effective acne treatments. They include antibiotics, benzoyl peroxide, adapalene and tretinoin. These acne treatments help stunt the growth of bacteria and reduce inflammation. Depending on the skin type of the person, a doctor will prescribe the appropriate effective acne treatment. For instance, if one is with an oily skin, creams and lotions will not be advised since they are oil-based medications. Gels and solutions will suit more the oily skin since they are usually alcohol-based and tend to dry the skin. These medications are often subject to testing first before one could really consider them as effective acne treatments for their skin problem. As a case-by-case basis, side effects from topical medicines may surface. These side effects may include rashes, stinging, redness, burning, scaling and discoloration. Moderate to severe acne. Those with oily skin and used to have mild acne (often in their late teens or early twenties) may worsen into a moderate condition of acne. Moderate severity is often characterized with the presence of more whiteheads and redness on the affected spots due to the vessels rupture. Severe acne is when acne has already reached the entire face, back and neck of the person. Usually severe acne conditions translate to bigger spots. This kind of acne is often treated with oral antibiotics. Oral means taking them by mouth. These effective acne treatments work by curbing the reproduction of bacteria and reducing inflammation. With dealing with moderate to severe acne conditions, a combination of prescription topical medications and oral acne medications may be combined. Some topical medications like sulphur drug preparations are considered extremely effective acne treatments. Sulphur has a peeling effect on the skin, thus loosens it and dislodges the blackheads from the pores. Sulphur, as an effective acne treatment, has no known major side effects. But still, it is always advised to test any medication before applying or taking them. Samples of effective acne treatments in the form of oral antibiotics are tetracycline, minocycline, isotretinoin, doxicycline and erythromycin. Most of these effective acne treatments taken orally are hazardous to a pregnant woman’s and her child’s health. Only erythromycin is reported to be safe to use for those who are either expecting a baby or breastfeeding.

What is a herniated disc? You’ve probably heard people say they have a “slipped” or “ruptured” disc in the back. Sometimes they complain that their back “went out”. What they’re most likely describing is a herniated disc. This condition is a common source of back and leg pain. Discs are soft cushions found between the vertebrae that make up the spinal column (your backbone). In the middle of the spinal column is the spinal canal, a hollow space that contains the spinal cord. The nerves that supply the arms, leg, and torso come from the spinal cord. The nerves from the neck supply the arms and hands, and the nerves from the low back supply the butt and legs. The discs between the vertebrae allow the back to move freely and act like shock absorbers. The disc is made up of two main sections. The outer part (the annulus) is made up of tough cartilage that is comprised of series of rings. The center of the disc is a jelly-like substance called the nucleus pulposus. A disc herniates or ruptures when part of the jelly center pushes through the outer wall of the disc into the spinal canal, and puts pressure on the nerves. A disc bulge is when the jelly substance pushes the outer wall but doesn’t completely go through the wall. What do you feel? Low back pain will affect four out of five people during their lifetime. The most common symptom of a herniated disc is “sciatica”. Sciatica is best described as a sharp, often shooting pain that begins in the buttocks and goes down the back of one leg. This is most often caused by pressure on the sciatic nerve that exits the spinal cord. Other symptoms include: • Weakness in one leg or both legs • Numbness and tingling in one leg (pins & needles) • A burning pain centered in the low back • Loss of bladder or bowel control (seek medical attention immediately) • Back pain with gradually increasing leg pain. (If you have weakness in both legs. Seek immediate attention.) How do you know you have a herniated disc? Your medical history is key to a proper diagnosis. A physical examination can usually determine which nerve roots are affected (and how seriously). A simple x-ray may show evidence of disc or degenerative spine changes. An MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) is usually the best option (most expensive) to determine which disc has herniated. Why do discs herniate? Discs are primarily composed of water. As we become older (after the age of 30), the water content decreases, so the discs begin to shrink and lose their shape. When the disc becomes smaller the space between the vertebrae decreases and become narrower. Also, as the disc loses water content the disc itself becomes less flexible. While aging, excess weight, improper lifting and the decrease in water in the discs all contribute to the breaking down of discs, the primary cause of a herniation or bluge is uneven compression and torsion that’s placed on the discs. This uneven pressure is caused by imbalances in muscles that pull the spine out of it’s normal position and then your body is forced to function in what I call a physical dysfunction. Every human being develops these dysfunctions over time and eventually they cause enough damage to create pain. The best treatment options When it comes to treating a herniated disc, there are traditional treatments such as ice/heat, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, cortisone injections, anti-inflammatory medications and even surgery. While these may deliver some relief, it will usually be temporary if at all. But the major problem with these traditional treatments is that they can’t fix or heal a herniated disc as they do not address the actual cause of the problem. For example, even if you were to have a surgery and get some pain relief, the fact is the dysfunctions that caused the disc to herniated in the first place are still there and if not addressed, they will continue to place uneven pressure and strain on the discs and sooner or later you will likely have another problem with that disc, or others. Without identifying and addressing the underlying cause of the problem, which is the physical dysfunctions caused by imbalances in muscles, you will likely continue to suffer with this condition and the continuous flare ups for years. Unfortunately, most doctors, chiropractors and physical therapists don’t spend time or focus on identifying the physical dysfunctions that are responsible for the condition so most people end up jumping from one useless traditional treatment to the next and suffer for months or years unnecessarily. If you have been diagnosed with a herniated disc, or are wondering if your back pain may be caused by a herniated disc, either way you must identify and address the physical dysfunctions that are causing your pain.

Allergic reaction – to the anesthesia Infection – can be a serious problem and if bleeding occurs may develop into a hematoma Hematoma – A collection of blood under the skin (commonly referred to a blood blister) Blood clots – More common with women taking birth control pills. Fat necrosis – After the abdominal wall has been stretched. Blood supply to the remaining fat and skin has been damaged. On rare occasions this may lead to necrosis of the fat cells which then become liquefied and hardened. Swelling – Mostly lasts for a month a month to six weeks following surgery. Bruising – Common in the abdomen area but in severe cases can extend to the surrounding skin. Skin Loss – The abdominal wall is stretched during surgery and blood supply to the skin may be damaged which may result in death of the skin in the surrounding areas. This is more common in people with diabetes and smokers. If this occurs a skin graft may be needed. Wound Separation – Scar tissue heals slowly and some separation may be expected, although rarely a problem it may lead to a heavier scar and slower recovery. Some common plastic surgery techniques being utilized today to reduce complications in certain areas following your tummy tuck surgery are as follows. Pain and nausea can be greatly reduced if your plastic surgeon injects and long lasting numbing medicine in the rectus muscle which has been tightened during the tummy tuck procedure. This is a simple procedure if performed by your plastic surgeon will most likely reduce complications from pain and expedite your recovery from plastic surgery. Applying a topical steroid cream for a few days following surgery will significantly reduce complications from scarring, and if followed up for about six weeks your scars will fade faster and become much less noticeable. Another procedure you may ask your plastic surgeon about for reducing the complications of fluid collection is by placing internal stitches between the fascia (gristle) and the underside of your fat. Most likely this will prevent any complications from fluid collection before they start. This tummy tuck procedure may reduce the time of having your drains in place to just 2-3 days following your tummy tuck surgery Becoming educated in the tummy tuck procedure is your responsibility and should not be avoided. The mirror is the most terrifying object in the house. You avoid it, cover it, and use the smallest you can find or breaking it so you won’t have to look any more. Then you start all kinds of diets, you loose weight you gain some weight back and finally you are back where you have started, or even worst – a lot more. You are tired of fighting with craving for food, you feel like a looser and you are now convinced that you will never win this war. The result is obviously consuming more food and this time the most harmful king you can find, thinking we have lost the fight lets die with a smile on our face. I have to tell you my friend that I was just like you. I was just like accordion, that’s exactly how I felt, thin and happy for a short time then back to square one, very frustrating process. Then I have made-my-mind to stop this. I said to myself fight no more this is not suppose to be a war it’s your life live them for crying out loud. You could win a war or loose one but not as a daily thing for the rest of your life. You will eventually get tiered at some point which will be exactly the point where you start loosing. This have completely shocked me, I felt like Sisyphus who was crushed to roll the big bolder up the hill and every time he made it uphill it fell down and he had to start over again. Not me, not any more leave that stone to other people and always stay at the top of the mountain. This insight has led me to build a lifestyle which, on one hand suits me and on the other hand, kept me in grate shape. I have decided that during the five working days I will keep strict diet – no cookies in the office or fattening food for launch. Then, to keep me on top of the hill, on the weekend I let my self a bit of the forbidden food I avoid the rest of the week. I don’t exaggerate but I eat what ever I feel like. That’s it!!! I have managed to remain on the top of the hill for 5 years now. I am very happy I feel healthy and a live, I can play a lot more with my kids and I really do want people to move from being Sisyphus to simply be the real you again.
